History of Riverside Players

Riverside Players were formed in 1960 with the aim of producing a wide range of amateur productions.

We normally produce:

  • a play in the spring (normally a comedy/farce)
  • a musical in the summer
  • a pantomime at Christmas

We meet every Monday and Thursday evening at 8 pm at the Memorial Hall, Straight Road, Old Windsor for rehearsals and maybe a glass of something in one of Old Windsor's seven fine pubs!

We are non-profit making and each year we donate money to various local and national charities, that have some relevance to our members.

Over the last few years, we have donated money to various local charities, including Windsor & Maidenhead Cruse (Bereavement Counselling), The East Berkshire Autistic Society, Thames Hospicecare, Cancer Research, Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice, National Children's Home, St. John Ambulance and Windsor & Maidenhead Crossroads. This year we have donated to Help for Heroes, Macmillan Cancer Support and the Child Bereavement Charity.

Please contact us if you would like more details.
