Social Scene

Riverside Players are a completely hands-on group, and all members, whether on-stage or off, are expected to pull together to help make each production a success.

Riverside Players construct and paint their own scenery and props, and this is usually done on the three Sundays prior to the performance, from 10am to 2pm, or later, depending on how things are progressing. Set-building Sundays are great fun, as members get the opportunity to work together as a team and learn new skills.

As well as set-build get-togethers, Riverside Players also has a thriving social scene, with several events arranged for members throughout the year. Recent examples of these include a Skittles Night, Salsa and Belly Dancing, an evening at Windsor Races and a Quiz Night. We have also held a very successful comedy workshop and will be looking to hold different ones in the future.

Once a year, we walk a lap of Old Windsor in silly costumes, for the village Carnival. Below are photos of us coming second in the best walking party on 11th June 2011. The theme was Heroes and Villains, so everyone was being cops and robbers, cowboys and indians, Batman etc. We decided to do our usual quirky thing and go as Cadbury Heroes. Apart from a little bit of sunburn, a great day was had by all.

Please contact us if you would like more details about any of our social events.
